Love the Instrument You Live In:
Finding a Supple Torso
An online course for singers July 14 – August 25, 2020

How many of these resonate?
If your low back isn’t barking at you, your neck is nagging.
There’s a hotspot of pain right on the inner edge of your shoulder blade that’s way too spicy.
You have a flat butt (go ahead and look in the mirror to confirm, we’ll wait…)
The only way there’s ‘strength’ in your core is if you grip it, grit your teeth and heave.
When you pause for a moment and exhale you realize you’re holding tension from your shoulders, to your abs, to your pelvic floor.

What’s the secret sauce missing from your body feeling better?
It’s ease and suppleness in the torso.
It’s shoulders and hips that move well.
It’s a core that’s responsive.
It’s living better in, and loving on, your instrument.

Your Body Can Change.

Your body hasn’t given up on you, don’t give up on her.
–
You aren’t broken. You’re ready to redefine your relationship with your body.
–
It’s not about outward appearances. It’s all about inward cohesion.
You don’t want to be told. You want to be taught.

You don’t need to be handed a list of exercises to do.
–
You need to learn about your body. Find your patterns.
–
You need to skill build to find new ways of moving
You Don’t Have To Do It Alone.

You don’t need another ‘expert’ telling you what to do and walking away.
–
Connection and community are key elements of lasting change.
–
You want to work with someone who is knowledgable AND compassionate. Someone who includes you in the process.
